Clive James in conversation with Richard Dawkins, Edinburgh Book Festival 2008

“On the 16th Sept 2008, Clive James, as part of the Clive James in Conversation series that was his contribution to the year’s Edinburgh Book Festival, discussed science, education, the big questions and more with the British evolutionary biologist and popular science writer, Richard Dawkins.”

This did indeed take place (and between just two participants, superfluous comma notwithstanding), but no trace of the discussion can I now find, either as a sound recording or a transcript. In this case we can't blame the 2018 demise of clivejames.com for the disappearance, for many other sites across the Web carried this same conversation, but they all linked back to media.richarddawkins.net for the content. And it's no longer there, neither the subdomain nor the file, nor indeed is it anywhere else on richarddawkins.net, the home of the grandly named (and, apparently, missioned) “Richard Dawkins Foundation”.
